A faith- based community group for women married to, or in long-term relationships with, medical and dental students, residents, fellows, and attendings.
We strive to help women strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ, with their husbands, and with one another.
Whether your medical journey is just beginning, or you’re finally done with training, SBS Knoxville provides connection with women at every life stage — the one you’re in, the one you’ll be in next.

We do the fun stuff.
SBS Knoxville offers a wide range of opportunities for connection. We host weekly Bible studies on Mondays at 9:30 am and Thursdays 6:30 - 8:30pm. Our morning group includes free childcare and meets at a local church in West Knoxville. Our evening group meets at 6:30 pm in the homes of SBS Knoxville members.
In addition to Bible studies, we also offer an array of events and activities including brunch and dinner outings, service opportunities, playdates (for kiddos and doggos alike), game nights, social outings, holiday parties, and so much more.
But also, the hard stuff.
Women in medical and dental marriages face a unique set of circumstances that most people who haven’t lived it can’t understand. Many struggle with resentment, exhaustion, loneliness, and isolation; often moving wherever their husband’s career takes them.
There is a common bond between the wives of medical and dental spouses, and something special about the support that we can offer one another. In between the Bible studies, the parties, the playdates, we also pray for, love on and life up one another through the highs and the lows— All while encouraging one another in our personal walks with the Lord.
